Well I am back in LA after a whirlwind TV and radio tour of NYC. Lots of gabbing about the past which is always fun but the best part was spending time with my buddies Pat Scullin and Gary Hope. A good friend is one of lifes most precious gifts. That is someone who knows you (warts and All) and loves you and isnt afraid to tell you when you are off course! Went to Santa Barbara over Labor Day with my sons 12u travel baseball team. I am one of the coaches and also the team photographer. Boy do I Love watching those kids play. the greatest lesson that game provides is that it all happens in the NOW! You have to forget about that error or strikeout and refocus in the moment so you can make the next play. and you are dealing with a lot of failure so you learn to let go move on and be focused. Its Tolle in action and fun watching the kids learning this life skill!! That being said the water is still warm here in LA and the surf is beckoning!! Peace, Bruce

I am off to NYC to promote the book on the CBS early show Monday Aug. 25th 7-9 am. Check it out if you have time. So far I have gotten a lot of positive response about the book which has been great.Hopefully I will have time in NY to connect with some old buddies, eat some great food and get a sweat in at the good old 10th st baths.Will also be doing a bunch of radio interviews. Will write about everything when I get back. Now I am off to my sons soccer game! Bruce

It has been a long journey to get this book published. What started out 10 years ago as a How to Succeed in Modeling book evolved into a memoir after meeting Alan Nevins of the Firm Agency who felt he could get the book published as such. I wont bother everyone with the details but the final deal was done over lunch in Beverly Hills. Anyway, I will be having a book signing Aug 5th at Booksoup in West Hollywood at 7 pm so it would be great to see anyone who wants to get a signed copy. I dont know where this blog is heading but I have a lot to say about Modeling, Fashion, Fitness and Personal Growth, Relationships and Spirituality. Funny combination of interests. Oh, I also love to cook and share tips and recipes. That goes back to my home economics classes in High School. Who knew? Anyway I am off to the beach to get wet! Best, Bruce Hulse
