The Dalai Lama
True beauty is within and the Dalai Lama just radiates that beauty. I love his website. Just google his name for the official site. I like to check in every day to see what he has been up to and read his speeches. His message of peace and kindness are an antidote to all the hatred and prejudice in the world. and what style. He wears monks robes but the maroon color is so beautiful. The other day he donned a football cap and just looked so cool, it put a smile on my face. I was fortunate to see him in NY in the 1980’s at St John the Divine Cathedral. I just smiled and cried. His message was the same then as now- KINDNESS!! I try to carry that out in my day to day life. Its not that hard to be kind. Smile. Give someone a compliment. Let somebody in traffic move in front of you. Tell your friends how much they mean to you. There was a model I knew who I worked with a lot and he would always offer everyone on set a back rub or spinal adjustment. He used to be a chiropracter back in Holland. What a kind, loving gesture. I always loved working with him. In these tough economic times dont forget to be kind to yourself. Peace and Love, Bruce

Firstly,can I just say your blog’s and your memoir have offered me valuable inspiration to lead a life from ‘within’ rather than from ‘without’.Our success in society is too often measured by what we ‘clothe’ ourselves with materially…and yet even when we achieve this outer wealth we still feel like somethings missing,and having more is never enough…
Yes,the beauty in life,the joy and peace can be found in the little gestures and kindness you speak of in the above blog..they are like little sparks of light from the heart…
